Following the Nothing Phone 2a and Nothing Phone 2, the CMF Phone 1 has also received Android 15 via the Nothing OS 3 Open Beta. Nothing OS 3 is the Android 15-based custom OS for Nothing devices. It is yet to be released in the stable channel. Also, the CMF Phone 1 exploded in India. We hope that Nothing is working to find out what happened.
CMF Phone 1 Main Features:
The size of the CMF Phone 1 is 6.67 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen while the resolution of the screen is 1080 x 2400 pixels and it is protected by Always On Display. The smartphone runs on the Android 14 operating system and is packed with 6 GB, 8 GB RAM while internal storage options are 128 GB, 256 GB.
Nothing CMF Phone 1 consists of a dual camera: 50 MP (wide) + 2 MP (depth) camera while on the front there is a single 16 MP (wide) camera. The device is available in various colors: Black, Orange, and Light Green. The smartphone is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 33W wired + 5W reverse wired.
It features Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, OTG, and GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Octa-core processor while the GPU is Mali-G615 MC2. It also supports Dual SIM and sensors including under display, optical, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
This is an open beta which means anyone with a CMF Phone 1 can get the Android 15 based Nothing OS 3. But remember this is a beta update and not a stable update, so it might have some bugs.
How to get Nothing OS 3 Open Beta on CMF Phone 1
In case you want to get the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta on your CMF Phone 1, you can follow the steps mentioned below:
- Make sure your phone is running latest Nothing OS 2.6 build (Tetris-U2.6-241021-2030 / Tetris-U2.6-241125-2107).
- Take backup of your important data, which could be useful if something goes wrong or you decide to roll back.
- Download and install the offline update installer from this link.
- Now navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
- Check for the new version and then install the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta following the on-screen instructions.
