List of Xiaomi smartphones that won’t get updates

Xiaomi has once again updated its list of smartphones that have unfortunately reached the end of their useful lives. At the same rate that the brand is launching new smartphones, many others are left without support and, therefore, without receiving new updates.

Xiaomi calls this list “End of Life,” and it is updated practically every month to incorporate new models that are no longer supported. These, in addition to no longer receiving updates to MIUI, HyperOS or Android, are also no longer recommended for purchase or even for us to continue using them since they represent a danger to our privacy.

If your smartphone is among the various models that have already reached the end of their useful life, our advice is to act on it if you really care about your privacy. While buying a new smartphone is usually the best recommendation, you can also opt to open the bootloader of your Xiaomi and install a custom ROM that is still supported.
