Nothing Phone 2 Gets Nothing OS 3.0 second beta Update

Nothing is now seeding the second beta of Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 to the Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a). According to Nothing’s update calendar, the Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus and CMF Phone 1 should start receiving the beta software sometime next month.

The Nothing OS 3.0 beta 2 brings several improvements and Nothing OS-exclusive features. For instance, Shared Widgets allows Nothing owners to interact with each other through widgets, but it’s still rather limited in functionality for now, and only reactions are shown to connected devices.

Quick Settings has been refined with new animations and looks, allowing you to customize the tiles.

The Smart Drawer is now becoming smarter, but Nothing warns that the software will need some time to adjust and categorize all the apps.

Camera enhancements are also part of the update, with Ultra HDR mode receiving a brightness boost, portrait mode receiving some polishing and stability is improved when switching between cameras.

PUBG gets high-refresh-rate support and can now run at 90fps. Some AI-powered features are being implemented.

Of course, the usual performance enhancements and bug fixes are also part of the changelog, but we don’t knwo what those include.
