Nothing Phone 3 Seen on GeekBench with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3

This year, nothing skipped the debut of its flagship smartphones, with the last high-end model, the Phone (2), revealed in 2023. The successor to this device has recently surfaced on a benchmarking platform. This has revealed the chipset that would power the next Nothing Phone (3), so let’s look into it.

The GeekBench platform revealed the new smartphone with the model number A059. This model is believed to be the Nothing Phone (3), which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC and 8GB of RAM. With this CPU, the company scored 1,149 points for the single-core test and 2,813 points for the multi-core test. The listing reveals that it runs Android 15 out of the box, which will most likely be based on the NothingOS 3.0 custom skin.

This may sound strange given that the Nothing Phone (2) was a high-end gadget featuring Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. So it may appear that Nothing is returning to a mid-range phone with the Phone (3), as with the Phone (1). However, this could merely be the basic model in the Phone (3) series. A couple of months ago, two weird Nothing Phones were discovered in the IMEI database: A059 and A059P. The latter is probably the more powerful Pro variant.

The debut date of the Nothing Phone (3) may be delayed until 2025, according to current information. It may also feature an action button. The standard Nothing Phone (3) could have a 6.5-inch display, while the Nothing Phone (3) Pro could have a larger 6.7-inch display. While the next third edition was initially speculated to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it may revert to mid-range classification again. Meanwhile, the Pro model could be known as the Nothing Phone (3)+ and may include the Dimensity 9400 SoC.
