Xiaomi continues with the stable Android 15-based HyperOS 2 rollout. This time, the Chinese company is rolling out the upgrade to the POCO C65 simultaneously. They are basically the same phone with a few tweaks and are available in different regions. However, since it’s a global release, all eligible users are getting the update.
Poco C65 Main Features:
The dimensions of the smartphone is 168 x 78 x 8.1 mm and it weighs 192 grams. The device is packed with 6 GB, 8 GB RAM along with 128 GB, 256 GB internal storage. The smartphone is powered by the Mediatek MT6769Z Helio G85 Octa-core processor, while the GPU is Mali-G52 MC2.
The display of the smartphone comes with a 6.74 inches IPS LCD and 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The device is a built-in non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 18W wired, PD. It also features USB Type-C 2.0. The rear camera consists of a dual camera: 50 MP (wide) + 2 MP (macro) and it features LED flash.
On the front, there is a single 8 MP camera. The sensors include a side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, compass + Virtual proximity sensing. Xiaomi Poco C65 comes in three colors: Black, Blue, and Purple. The smartphone runs on Android 13 + MIUI 14 for POCO operating system.
The POCO C65 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update is rolling out with version number OS2.0.2.0. VGPMIXM. It comes in a 4.7 GB package with a stripped down changelog compared to what arrived for the flagship phones. Nevertheless, this update bundles all the new features aimed at improving device performance, stability, and security. The few left out are AI, given the resources allocated to them.
While the update is arriving for global users, we understand only Mi Pilot members are getting a notice for the OTA. The idea is to allow time for a preview, and in the absence of any serious problems, the update will become available for more people. We also expect an expansion to other regions in the coming days/weeks.

Xiaomi is rolling out the update in batches, meaning it will take time before it becomes available for everyone. Unfortunately, the company has yet to upload the Recovery ROM to the server, and hence, the only way to access the build is via the updater app. Ensure you back up your files before installing the update, as it’s the first cross-section Android upgrade. It is likely to contain bugs, and some system apps are yet to adapt, which can cause glitches.
