Redmi Note 13 receives a stable Android 15 HyperOS 2 update

The Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update is in full swing, with Redmi Note 13 receiving the much-anticipated upgrade. It is a global release confined to a few users for preview, but we anticipate that more people will receive the upgrade shortly, or you can install it yourself.

The Redmi Note 13 Android 15 update is now available with version number OS2.0.4.0. VNGMIXM. The device has 4.7 GB of storage and includes standard functions but lacks AI capabilities often found in flagship phones. Meanwhile, after applying the update, you should see an increase in performance due to dynamic memory, Xiaomi HyperCore, and non-uniform calculation.

The update includes the November 2024 security patch to improve system security, and the Android OS version is updated to 15.
Unfortunately, the rollout is not yet generally available, since only a few users have been given the opportunity to preview it. Given the limited reports of faults from early adopters, we anticipate a general release in the near future.

How to download the Redmi Note 13 Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update

Again, the update is only available to Mi Pilot members. The ROM is currently only accessible through the updater app, as the business has yet to post it to the server.

While we expect them to do so soon, make sure to back up your files before installing the update. It is the device’s first cross-section Android upgrade, therefore, it may contain issues. Additionally, certain system apps have yet to adapt to the new operating system, which might result in problems and overheating.
