Xiaomi revealed a global HyperOS distribution schedule last month, with POCO phones joining the second wave of the rollout and other Xiaomi and Redmi Phones. Although some devices scheduled to receive the update in December received it last month, no POCO phone received the same treatment, but we anticipate that eligible devices will begin receiving it this month.
POCO is a sub-brand of Xiaomi; hence, their phones come pre-installed with HyperOS after switching from MIUI. Over a dozen POCO phones will receive the stable HyperOS 2—based Android 15 update, although it has yet to be rolled out. Nonetheless, we expect eligible units to receive the update early in December, possibly beginning this week.
While the HyperOS 2 does not include significant user-facing changes, as Xiaomi prioritizes stability and efficiency, there are several unique features that we believe you will enjoy. HyperConnect ensures smooth connectivity, allowing you to finally share files with iOS. In addition, HyperCore enhances performance and stability, while HyperAI introduces some AI features.
Of course, the HyperOS 2 is based on Android 15, but not all eligible POCO phones will get the upgrade with Android 15. Most mid-range smartphones that have elapsed their OS support might only receive the new iteration of HyperOS without an OS upgrade. You can check the eligible list below.
