After a sluggish start, Xiaomi is finally bringing the Global Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update to more devices. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is the most recent device to receive the stable upgrade; however, the update is currently only available in a few regions.
Xiaomi started rolling out the much-anticipated Android 15-based HyperOS update to global users a couple of days ago. The rollout started with the Xiaomi 14, and as expected, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is now getting the update, but it is limited to Global ROM users. It comes in a 7.0 GB package size with a version number of OS2.0.5.0. VNAMIXM.
As you would expect, the update follows the recent trend of introducing many AI features. Xiaomi HyperAI has been polished to perform some on-device tasks like summarizing and correcting your writing. It also recognizes audio and transcribes in real time.

Xiaomi is rolling out the update in batches, meaning only Mi Pilot members are getting it at the moment. Since it’s the first cross-section Android upgrade, there are chances of bugs and glitches, and we recommend waiting for feedback before installing the update. Xiaomi 14 Ultra has been officially released on Feb. 22, 2024. The smartphone comes in 6.73 inches size and the display is LTPO AMOLED which provides 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution. The phone is fueled by a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 90W wired, PD3.0, QC4, 100% in 33 min (advertised) + 80W wireless, 100% in 46 min (advertised) + 10W reverse wireless.
